3 Nights Munich (Germany) - 2 Nights Salzburg (Austria) - 3 Nights Zurich (Switzerland)

ITINERARY:

Day 01 Morning arrival at Munich Airport. Welcome to Germany. Your driver will meet you in the Arrival Hall and transfer you to your hotel located in the center of Munich. The rooms will not be ready for check-in until approx. 3pm in the afternoon. The hotel will store the luggage. A private guide will meet you and give you a 2-hour private tour of the Munich Christmas Market. Balance of day at our own leisure in Munich. Overnight at e.g. MERCURE HOTEL MUENCHEN ALTSTADT for 3 nights, including breakfast daily.

Day 02 A private guide will take you from Munich to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial today for a 5-hour tour (in total). You will be traveling by public transport (train and bus tickets are included). Upon return to Munich, you will have time to visit the Christmas Markets. This evening we suggest dinner at the Hofbräuhaus Restaurant, a famous Bavarian restaurant located in the center of Munich. Overnight in Munich.

Day 03 Today you will enjoy a full day guided small group bus tour to Neuschwanstein & Linderhof Castle, including Oberammergau, starts at 8:30am and ends back in Munich at 7pm. Includes entrance tickets and snacks and drinks on the bus. Upon return to Munich you can visit the Munich Christmas Markets one last time. They are open until 9pm. Overnight in Munich 

Day 04 You will be transferred from the hotel to the Munich train station, where you will board a first class train to Salzburg, Austria. Sample train schedule: Depart Munich at 9:28am, Arrive Salzburg at 10:58am. A driver will meet you at the Salzburg train station and take you to a centrally located hotel in Salzburg. You will get the opportunity to visit Salzburg and its Christmas market this afternoon at our own leisure. For the evening, we suggest a dinner concert reservation at the Hohensalzburg Fortresss in Salzburg.

Overnight at e.g. HOTEL AM MIRABELLPLATZ SALZBURG for 2 nights, including breakfast daily.

Day 05 Full day at our own leisure in Salzburg. Time for shopping, visiting the old town and the Christmas Markets. Optional excursions: The Original Sound of Music Tour, 4 hours, starts at 9:30am. In the evening, a performance at the historic Marionett Theatre.

Day 06 You will be transferred to the Salzburg train station where you will board a first-class scenic train to Zürich, Switzerland. Train schedule: 7:56am-1:20pm. Upon arrival, short walk to your hotel located in the old town of Zürich. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour private guided walking tour to learn about this beautiful old town. Overnight at e.g HOTEL RÜTLI ZÜRICH for 3 nights, including breakfast daily.

Day 07 Private transfer from your hotel in Zürich to Luzern (1 hour ride), or take a 1-hour train ride to Luzern and the bus to Kriens, where you will ascend on gondolas to the top of Mt. Pilatus. On a sunny day the views over the Alps and the lakes below are magnificent. Enjoy the views, have a coffee, eat some lunch. Descend on the gondola back to the valley station. Continue to the center of Luzern, one of Europe’s most picturesque towns. You will have time to walk the cobblestoned old town, walk across the wooden chapel bridge, visit the Christmas market, enjoy some food. Transfer back to Zürich for the evening. Zürich has about 6 different Christmas Markets and many fun restaurants. Overnight in Zürich. 

Day 08 Your last day in Zürich, Switzerland. Time to do your last minute shopping, visit Christmas markets or sightsee. OPTIONAL: Visit the Lindt World of Chocolate museum, located just outside of Zurich, reachable by train/bus or a short Uber/taxi ride. For your farewell dinner, we suggest a typical Swiss dinner of Cheese fondue at the "Swiss Chuchi" restaurant.

Day 09 Time to say goodbye to Switzerland. Your private driver will take you to Zurich Airport for your flight back home. End of arrangements.
