GREEK ISLAND HOPPING

12 days / 11 nights

Begin your Greek experience in Athens. See the Acropolis and the highlights of Athens before visiting the 3 well known islands of Mykonos,  Santorini and Crete by ferry. You will have a mix of time at leisure and a general tour on each island before returning to Athens for your flight home.

Day 1 Arrive Athens, capital of Greece. Private transfer from Athens-ATH Airport to the Athens hotel. Afternoon at leisure to explore. 

2 Overnights in a hotel in Athens. 

Day 2 This morning, join an Athens walking tour with Acropolis Site and Museum. Afternoon at leisure, or (depending on time) perhaps visit Cape Sounion to visit the Temple of Poseidon (optional), or afternoon cooking class in Athens (optional).

Day 3 Today you have a private transfer to the Athens Piraeus Port. Then board the highspeed ferry for Mykonos. Your driver will be waiting at the port to transfer you to your Mykonos Town hotel. 

3 Overnights in a hotel in Mykonos.

Day 4 Today you have a half or full day panoramic island tour of Mykonos.

Day 5 Day at leisure, perhaps you wish to relax on the beach or go exploring. Another option is to join a food tour or Greek cooking class.

Day 6 Meet your private transfer driver in the lobby of the hotel, and transfer to the Mykonos Port for your highspeed ferry to Santorini. You will then be picked up at the port by a transfer driver who will take you to your hotel in Santorini. 

3 Overnights in a hotel in Santorini.

Day 7  Today you have a full day Santorini Tour. Another option is a sunset and dining experience in Santorini. During the experience there is usually a winery visit with tasting, stop in one of the villages, watching the sunset, and ending with dinner overlooking the Caldera.

Day 8  Day at leisure, perhaps you wish to enjoy the beach, or sunset catamaran cruise around Santorini. Cruises usually pass by the volcano and hot springs, Indian Rock and Venetian Lighthouse, along with a quick stop at Volcanic Red beach for swimming and snorkeling. 

Day 9 Meet your private transfer driver in the main lobby of the hotel. Transfer to the Santorini Port for a short flight to Heraklion. Arrival into the Heraklion-HER Airport, with a private transfer to the hotel. 

(or return to Athens for a 1-night stay to fly home the next day, making a 10-day / 9-night itinerary)

2 Overnights in a hotel in Heraklion (Irakleio), Crete

Day 10 Today you have a half-day Knossos Palace and Heraklion sightseeing tour. Rest of day at leisure.

Day 11 Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, meet your private transfer driver in the main lobby of the hotel. Transfer to the Heraklion airport, and a short flight to Athens. Arrival into the Athens-ATH Airport, and make your way to the airport hotel. 

1 Overnight in a hotel at Athens airport. 

Day 12 This morning checkout of your Athens airport hotel, and make your way to the terminal for flight check-in. Departure from the Athens-ATH Airport, and fly home.
