OUR BACKGROUND
RSI was founded in 2006 by Carmen Metcalf, but the seed was planted long before that. The owner says: " I grew up in Switzerland with parents that loved traveling. They took me all over Europe in a home-made camper and already as a kid I was the designated map reader. I loved exploring and using different languages, meeting new people, tasting different foods and participating in local festivals. It was an adventure. As an adult, all I wanted is to work in the travel industry, which I did. First in a travel agency in Switzerland, then as a tour guide in the USA and then in a tour operating business specializing in rail travel."
In 2006 she finally had the opportunity of starting her own company and took many years of experience, a wealth of knowledge, and turned it into a successful venture. Since then, the company has been blessed with several very knowledgeable and passionate travel specialists that make RSI well known in the travel industry as THE custom travel expert for Europe, Iceland and Southern Africa and its newest addition, Morocco.
